Our church is poised to join in Bishop McKee’s “One+One” challenge to help with literacy in the North Texas Conference. The Bishop’s plan calls for volunteers – one adult + one child + one hour per week – to establish relationships and to promote literacy. It may be reading to a child, with a child, or listening to a child read.

We will be in partnership with Lake Dallas Elementary School. Our goal is to have at least 10 volunteers signed up for reading to begin in mid-September. Further details will be forthcoming. Clipboards will be passed around during worship or you may sign up in the church office or by calling Susan Anderson at 940-497-2707.
