When is the Food Pantry open?

Clients are eligible to visit once a month.
Where does the pantry get the food?
Our food pantry is a member agency of the North Texas Food Bank, so we acquire food from the NTFB for a nominal handling fee. As with any food bank, the NTFB can only provide what they have available, so groceries are purchased with donated funds to help fill the gaps on the shelves. We provide milk, eggs, and basic hygiene items when we are able to do so.
Aldi in Corinth, Target in Denton, and Albertson’s in Corinth also generously donate weekly.
We also rely on the kindness of several area churches, donations from local food drives, and monetary donations from philanthropic organizations, local businesses, and individual donors.
How can I, or my organization, help?
Direct donations of in date non-perishable food items, diapers, wipes, and hygiene products are ALWAYS appreciated.
Monetary donations can be directed to Lake Cities United Methodist Church with a designation of “Food Pantry”.
Volunteering your time to help bag, sort, pick up donated food items, etc. would also be greatly appreciated. No special skills are required - we are happy to guide anyone who is willing to lend a hand!
