Have you ever felt like you are expected to believe without any sort of intellectual examination of your faith? That isn’t the way it is supposed to be! That’s not what God wants! As Methodists we encourage our members to grow theologically in ways that demonstrate a discovery of truth rather than a regurgitation of it. People are not expected to “check their brains at the door” when they enter into our churches. Instead, they should participate with their heart, soul, and MIND.
