Our church is dedicated to ensuring that every member feels loved, supported, and spiritually nurtured. As part of this commitment, we are hosting a Congregational Care Team Training, designed to equip our care ministers with the skills and knowledge they need to serve effectively.
What to Expect in This Training
This session will provide an in-depth look at how our Congregational Care Team is structured and the important role each care minister plays. We will cover:
✅ Organization of the Care Team – Understanding how visits, follow-ups, and prayer support are coordinated.
✅ Expectations of Care Ministers – Learning about confidentiality, active listening, and the spiritual responsibilities of care ministry.
✅ Special Guest Speaker on Bedside Manner – Rev. Sara Orr, Chaplain at Methodist Richardson Medical Center, will offer practical guidance on making hospital and home visits more meaningful, ensuring comfort and encouragement to those in need.
Who Should Attend?
This training is essential for all current care ministers, those considering joining the team, and anyone who wants to develop skills in compassionate care. Whether visiting the sick, comforting the grieving, or encouraging the homebound, this training will prepare you to serve with wisdom and grace.
