Pastor R.P. Lawson of Dallas, Texas was appointed to Lake Cities United Methodist Church in March 2008. He holds degrees from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Southern Methodist University in Dallas and a diploma in Joint Professional Military Education from the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Associate Pastor Dyan Dietz returned to Lake Cities United Methodist Church in 2008 after serving for six years as pastor of Cooper Creek United Methodist Church in Denton, Tx. Suzie Miller was born and raised in California and received her Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from California State University Bakersfield. She worked on her Master's in Behavioral Science for a short while before meeting her husband Grant, getting married, and starting a family.
