CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

At Lake Cities UMC, we believe children should be seen AND heard all around the church! All our programs are designed to start children on a journey of faith that will last a lifetime. From Sunday School to small group programs, we offer something for children of every age.

Children's Church

Worship should be fun and interesting, but sometimes when you're little "big church" just isn't the right fit. That's why we have Children's Church Sundays during the 11:00 am service. At Children's Church kids age 4 through 2nd grade experience worship in a way that connects with them. The "sermon" can include everything from a fun and active game to worship songs that include dancing and instruments. For more information on Children's Church please click here.

Sunday School

Every Sunday morning at 9:45 children ages 3 through 5th grade can come explore the word of God and its meaning in their lives at Sunday School. For information on the different Sunday School class for each age please click here.

Small Groups

Our small group programs offer a variety of opportunities for exploring discipleship through fun and fellowship. We have programs on both Wednesday and Sunday evenings open to children ages 4 through 5th grade. Please note that Sunday evening activities only run during the school year. On Sunday Evenings, during the school year, at 6:00 before FUdGe and KFC we serve dinner for $3.00 per person. Dinner is prepared and served by a family in our church. You are invited to enjoy dinner and fellowship with us at 6:00 pm.

Nursery

Infants through age four are invited to stay and play in our nursery located in the northeast corner of the Family Life Center. Nursery is offered during Sunday morning services as well as during other activities, as needed.

Other Activities

• Children's choir & chimes
• Sunday evening dinners
• Vacation Bible School
• Christmas festivities including a special Christmas Eve service designed for small children
• Easter celebration with a children's Palm parade and community egg hunt
• Worship participation including Children's Sunday and acolyte service

Volunteer opportunities are available for parents in our Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible School, and throughout children's ministries.
