Education ministries have long played a vital role at Lake Cities UMC.
Recognizing that we live in an ever changing world, we seek to provide
a wide breadth of opportunities for our members and friends to grow
in their knowledge of God and His kingdom.
While traditional programs like Sunday School for all ages and Disciple
Bible Study continue to serve as the core of our programs, we continue
to reach out with a diverse array of other programs ranging from the
warm fellowship of our Tuesday Morning Bible Study to home groups which
take learning opportunities beyond the wall of our church. Classes such
as Financial Peace University and God in Public seek
to help us live our daily lives in the light of our faith.
Through a variety of smaller fellowship groups, we seek to support children
and youth as they seek to learn the full meaning of discipleship. We
also continue to operate Footprints Preschool,
a fully accredited and licensed preschool. This ministry to children
ages 2-5 seeks to not only help them grow intellectually and socially,
but spiritually as well.
