Lots going on in the next month! So read on!
Upcoming Events
Sunday, May 13 - Children's Sunday
The 3rd - 5th graders have planned a fantastic worship service, so make sure to join us. All the kids who are participating either in leading worship or in the Children's Bell Choir need to be here at church NO LATER THAN 8:15 am. The Children's Bell Choir will be performing at 8:30 and 11:00 am services, so they will be able to go to Sunday School as usual. The 3rd-5th graders who are leading service will be at the 9:45 service with me.
We will NOT have Children's Church -- I really want the younger kids to see kids leading the worship. They'll also enjoy the sermon -- it is very kid friendly. UMW is having a bake sale in the morning -- they always have lots of terrific goodies! In honor of Mother's Day, there is no Sunday supper, FUdGe or KFC.
Wednesday, May 16
COGs (4 thru 5th grade) 5:45 to 7:15 pm
Join us for supper, a Bible lesson and fun games and crafts. Supper will be chicken rice casserole and peas & carrots.
Sunday, May 20
Ascension Day
We will be celebrating Ascension Day at services -- adult bell choir is performing, which is always fun. PLUS Children's Church involves bubbles, so make sure to be there!
- 6:00 PM -- Family Supper
- 6:30 PM -- KFC (4 thru 2nd grade) Kris Andrews has a lesson all about David and Goliath that is guaranteed to be fun!
- 6:30 PM -- FUDGE (3rd - 5th grades) We are going to celebrate (it could involve SPAM) and discuss plans for our summer mission projects.
Sunday, May 27
We are having TWO services only -- 8:30 and 10:30. The 10:30 service will include the Reading of the Names to honor fallen service members from Texas. All services will be in the sanctuary. Children and Youth will not be having Sunday School that day. A church-wide picnic is planned for after the 10:30 am service.
Other "Stuff":
Online registration for this year's VBS -- Babylon: Daniels Courage in Captivity will be open on Monday, May 14. Click here for more information. We are still looking for volunteers to help with both the morning and evening session of VBS. If you are interested, please let me know.
I am also looking for a volunteer to lend me a hand for a couple of hours next week (May 14-18). I am getting somewhat overwhelmed by some of the administrative parts of my job and have gotten very behind on lots of tasks. I need someone who can volunteer for two or three hours any day next week helping me get caught up on some of this -- inputting attendance information, inputting VBS volunteer info into my database, etc. None of it is particularly hard, it is just time consuming and I am getting WAY behind. If you are interested in helping, let me know when you are available. I have a computer for you to work on and plenty of workspace!

Children's Sunday is May 13 and the 3rd thru 5th graders are "taking over" worship!
Children's Ministries needs LOTS and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of superballs by the end of May!
