DYAN DIETZ
Lake Cities United Methodist Church Associate Pastor Associate
Pastor Dyan Dietz returned to Lake Cities United Methodist Church in 2008
after serving for six years as pastor of Cooper Creek United Methodist
Church in Denton, Tx. Dyan had previously served Lake Cities for four
years as Director of Adult Ministries and for one year as Director of
Children's Ministries.
Dyan is a Probationary Elder in the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. She has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Texas Woman's University in Denton and a Masters in Divinity from Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth. She is currently working on a PhD in Biblical Studies in Hebrew Bible at Brite Divinity School. Dyan moved to Texas with her family fifteen years ago from Minnesota, her childhood home. She has been married to her husband Michael for 28 years and is the mother of six children, James, William, Daniel, Marybeth, Christine and Emily. She has a daughter-in-law, Wynette, and a son-in-law, Matt. In addition to Hebrew Bible and New Testament studies, Dyan's interests include study of ancient languages, religious history and religious art. She is also a fan of the Dallas Stars, CSI and cheeseburgers. Her favorite Bible verse is from Micah 6:8, “He has told you, O mortal what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” |
