Suzie was born and raised in California and received her Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from California State University Bakersfield. She worked on her Master's in Behavioral Science for a short while before meeting her husband Grant, getting married, and starting a family. They have been married for over 22 years and have three children -- Danika, Austin, and Kalista.

She and her husband enjoy spending time together watching their children participate in school and club sports. Her oldest, Danika, plays softball for Wichita State, Her son, Austin, will run cross country and track for the University of Central Arkansas after finishing his senior year, and Kalista plays competitive soccer. Besides spending time with family, Suzie's other interests include running, studying nutrition and naturopathic medicine, visiting California, relaxing at the beach, and reading about and researching topics of interest. She especially enjoys spending time searching the scriptures and listening to sermons online.

Suzie and her family have lived in Lake Dallas for over six years and thoroughly enjoy Texas, feeling very at home here. They enjoy the kindness of the people they've met, the new friends they've made, and the family-friendly atmosphere. She is thankful for the abundant blessings God has given her and her family.
