The church will host a health screening opportunity for interested individuals on Wednesday, May 30, in the Family Life Center. Scan Specialists is the company that will be offering the screening in a variety of packages. The church has worked with Scan Specialists over the past two years and has enjoyed a cooperative relationship. Several of our members have benefitted from the screening service. A variety of screenings are available but the most popular packages are as follows:

• Full Preventive Pkg. (9 screenings) $189
• Abdominal Pkg. (5 screenings)       $160
• Vascular Pkg. (4 screenings)          $145

Our current rotation for Supper Club is winding down and it's time to start a new rotation. 

Please indicate on your connection card, located in your Sunday bulletin, if you are interested in starting a new Supper Club rotation during the summer or if you'd prefer to wait until Fall to do it again.

Lewis is putting a handbell ensemble together for an upcoming worship service. Rehearsals will be on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm beginning this week (April 25). This will be a short-term commitment, so you aren't signing the rest of your Wednesday nights away.

Tuesday, 17th, will be our monthly Chick Flick. Come join us at 5:45 pm at Chili's for food and fellowship and then onto a movie!

On Sundays April 22 and 29, Lake Cities UMC will be offering “Church Scene Investigation”.  This 2-week course is primarily for new and prospective church members, but open to all desiring to learn more about the church.

The focus week 1 is “Who We Are”

• History of The United Methodist Church.
• History of Lake Cities United Methodist church.
• The polity (governance) of the United Methodist Church.
• What United Methodists Believe.

The focus week 2 is “How We Live Out Our Faith”

• Our prayers.
• Our presence.
• Our gifts.
• Our service and witness.

We have numerous enthusiastic presenters, each knowledgeable in the area they will address.  The class meets from 5:00 to 6:00 and then breaks for dinner (either bring your own or partake of the meal provided by the church for a donation of $3 to cover the cost).  Meals will be brought into the classroom with mealtime being used to become better acquainted with each other.  The class will resume sometime around 6:30 and will end around 7:30.

We would love to have you attend this very informative class.  Please fill out a registration form and return it to the church office by April 15, either online or in person.  Should you miss that deadline, you may call Susan Anderson at 940-497-2707.  No one will be turned away, but we need to have an idea of who is coming to prepare for child care as well as meals.

UMW will meet Sunday, April 15th.

This Sunday, February 26, (after the 11AM service) in the Sanctuary

This is for people wishing to help distribute the 'elements' to home-bound and hospitalized members (outside The Vintage and Autumn Oaks). All Lay Speakers are invited as well as other members interested in helping this ministry. The training will instruct us how to handle and distribute the elements, as well as speaking instructions.

Come join us this Sunday, February 5th for our Tailgate Spectacular.

Anyone who likes to have a good time will have a blast here. Bring your lawn chair and your favorite tailgate food to share to the FLC at 5pm that Sunday. The game will be projected on the wall SO BIG it is almost like being at the game.

Invite your friends and families to join us. We will have games, cards, and of course the SUPER BOWL. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
