Can you believe it's almost February! We've got lots planned for children and parents this month so check out the attached calendar.
This Week's Highlights:
February 1 -- COGs (ages 4 thru 5th grade) 5:45 to 7:15 pm
We have a fun evening ahead as we continue our our journey with Joshua. The Israelites are finally going to cross the Jordan into the Promised Land! Dinner will be chicken rice casserole, peas & carrots and applesauce.
February 5 --
Souper Bowl of Caring during all three services:
in case you haven't heard already BRING PEANUT BUTTER!
Superbowl Tailgate Spectacular -- 5:00 pm to ?
Bring your lawn chair and your favorite tailgate food to share. The game will be projected on the wall SO BIG it is almost like being at the game. Invite your friends and family to join us. We will have games, cards and, of course, the SUPER BOWL! There will be no formal FUdGe or KFC that evening so everyone can enjoy the party!
Coming Up:
COGs will NOT meet on Wednesday, February 22 so that families can attend Ash Wednesday services at 7:00 pm.
Drama Team will meet on Sunday, February 12 to rehearse for our worship drama. The drama will be performed on Sunday, February 19 at the 8:30 and 11:00 am services. We could really use two or three more players for this drama. So if your child is interested in performing, bring them to our meeting. There will be NO drama team meeting on February 19 or February 26. We will resume meetings on March 4 at which time we will start working on a worship drama to be performed in April as well as VBS mini-dramas.
FUdGe will be preparing supper on February 26. The group decided they want to serve sandwiches, sides and brownies. We will meet at 5:00 pm to make brownies, macaroni and potato salad as well as setup plates, etc. I NEED AN OTHER ADULT VOLUNTEER TO HELP! If you are interested, please let me know. After we clean up from supper, we will spend the rest of our evening playing board games!
KFC will be enjoying board game night on February 26. We have quite a few games, but if you would like to bring one to share, please do!
Ash Wednesday Service -- February 22 at 7:00 pm
as always we encourage EVERYONE, not just adults, to come make the beginning of Lent
Family Movie Night -- Friday, March 9
Join us for an evening of family fun as we view the newest VeggieTale -- Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men. Our concession stand will open at 6:00 pm serving hot dogs, chips, drinks, popcorn and cheese nachos (notice the new exciting item!). The movie will start at 6:30 -- run time is about 45 minutes. After the movie we will have a SPECIAL DRAWING. The winner will receive a copy of VeggieTales latest silly song DVD - "If I Song a Silly Song" -- which includes the newest song Bubble Rap.
Worship Arts Mini-Camp -- Tuesday, March 13 thru Friday, March 16 -- 9:00 am to Noon
Camp is open to children age 4 through 5th grade. Activities they can choose from will include dance, music, batik, baking and drama. Sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board outside the church office.

Vacation Bible School Planning Meeting -- Sunday, February 19 from 5:00 to 5:45 pm.
Come check out this year's theme, music, lessons and crafts. We will meeting the the Family Life Center.
