Lake Cities United Methodist Church Supports Scouting

Lake Cities United Methodist Church has supported Scouting since 2002. That’s over 8 years of Scouting and an amazing testament to this church’s commitment to raising our children with the positive values, a strong individual faith, love for country, and community that the Boy Scouts deliver.

Pack 424 is our Cub Scout Pack. Boys of elementary school age participate in a wide variety of activities, from building and racing pinewood derby cars, launching model rockets, camping, fitness and outdoor activities, monthly meeting as a group and weekly meeting as a den.

Troop 424 is our Boy Scout Troop. These are older boys that participate in a wide variety of activities, camping, learning fitness and outdoors skills, community service projects, weekly meetings. The values and positive reinforcement we build through scouting is reflected in our young men doing their best and excelling in school.

Active participation in BSA gives us, as parents, opportunities to play a closer role in their lives. By leading and helping with events, you get a window into your son’s world and the influence you have here will last a lifetime

Troop and Cub Scouts volunteers work with the boys and their families to improve their communities by enriching the lives of the families who live there. These volunteers support the family; they take an active part in helping to strengthen families and their boys by providing a fun-filled, worthwhile program that teaches values.
